He HATED The Tarp! | Taming A Wild Horse [EP 4]
In this video I focus on desensitizing the Wild Horse to the Tarp! His reaction is definitely more intense than usual with him attempting to buck the tarp off his back! Eventually he allows me to put it on him and he relaxes with the tarp. We're still dealing with very dangerous kicking out throughout the lesson so I have to be very careful about where I stand and watch the horse at all times! progress is still slow but there is some improvement as the days progress!

Day 3 Training this wild horse was Intense! He kicked out so many times during the desensitization process and they were hard kicks too! We're continuing his transformation day by day and were already seeing amazing progress! It's not been easy so far but hopefully this wild horse gets over his kicking problem soon! This WILD HORSE Is CRAZY! | Taming A Wild Horse [EP 2]
Переглядів 1,9 тис.Місяць тому
This horse is already pushing me to the absolute limits of my horsemanship! He’s taken the longest of any horse I’ve ever worked with to halter and he has been extremely resistant to my attempts to control him through body language in the pen. Progress is slower than usual but he is still learning. It looks like it’s going to be a lot harder than I expected to train this horse! Check out Horse ...

I Can’t Catch This WILD Horse! | Taming a WILD Horse [EP1]

This is day 1 of a series of videos that follow the journey of one very Wild Horse! In this video I struggle to build trust with the young horse and am not able to catch him even after 1 hour of working with him. Little did I know that was just a sign of what was to come because this horse would turn out to be the hardest horse I’ve ever trained! To see the very first time I interacted with thi...
Training A 2 Year Old Filly! [Part 2]

This young filly is new to the ranch was completely untrained. I purchased her a while back but due to so many other horses in training I only recently finished training her. One of her biggest problems was how lazy she was! She hated to run a...

    I enjoyed watching your video. I have a legitimate question as one who has never done this. At what point do you decide it is enough for one day? Or do you decide he isn’t feeling this today and come back later or the next day?

      Hi Rebecca! Glad to hear you enjoyed the video! Typically my training lessons are between 45-60 minutes with healthy adult horses. If I notice the horse getting too tired (excessive sweating or labored breathing) then I can end the lesson early. I’m trying to teach the horses certain things and as soon as he does them better than the day before then I stop 😊

    Amazing video! I’m going to try this out today. I just got a new horse about 2 months ago and he is starting to show his true colors he bites, runs off when I try to lunge him, and has terrible ground manners. Im really trying to work with him on respecting me and my commands without being to aggressive to the point he fears me. I’ve been riding for 12 years and he is the smartest horse i’ve seen he’s about 7 years old and he try’s to trick you into thinking he can’t do something when he’s perfectly capable of doing so😂. He’s a tricky one but hopefully your tips will help! Thank you.

    There's no way a wild, untouched horse will stand this calmly, let alone be willing to allow it's first human contact. It's trainers like you that ruin it for horse owners and horses. You set them up to fail, be disappointed, because they expect it to be this easy. To make matters worse, you set up the wild horse for failure because you teach humans that all horses should act this way. In the end, developing horses should be easy, an easy process, but that doesn't mean the horse is easy. Easy means we make it EASY FOR THE HORSE. We should always be compassionate and consider the horse. While this video is pleasing to the eye, you have many that show the horse rearing, bucking under saddle, absolutely frightened. It shouldn't be that way. We need to make it EASY for the horse, not easy for the human.

      Then let the horse mount you and find out. If your so considerate then consider that people want to work with the horse together and not for an animal.

    I'm a "horse whisperer." Just like the character played by Robert Redford. Step one... I calm the stallion so that I can ride him. Step 2: on my first ride, I whisperer something encouraging into his ear. When I come back, you'd swear the horse was laughing. Step 3: after my second ride, the horse has his head down and looks depressed. I tell the ranchers that the job is done. They ask me how did you do that? I told them that they first ride out, I suggested that my penis was bigger than his. The second ride... I showed it to him. 😆🤣

    Thanks! My horse has a bigger problem with front legs tho- she kneels...and I'm always afraid that she'll injure jerself if I keep holding jer foot...so I let go- or hold the upper part of her leg so that she can't kneel...we're seeing progress but....damn- what do I do? Someone mentioned roping it like you did-but- what if she starts kneeling? When do you even leg go of the preassure with the rope???

    • @HorsePerfect
      @HorsePerfect 20 днів тому

      Hi! It’s not going to injure her to kneel unless it’s on a hard or rough surface. I would just let her kneel. By letting go of her foot when she kneels you’re teaching her that kneeling is the best way to get you to let her foot go. Instead hold onto her foot even when she’s kneeling and wait for her to stand back up and then let her foot go. Teaching her that if she stands up nicely and calmly you’ll let her foot go immediately. Soon you won’t have to let her foot go so soon and then she’ll not kneel anymore!
